HAHAHA, that has happened to me several times over the years!
My local subway is quite good when the owner/manager is there during the week. When she is away on weekends the place is a mess, the kids running it are more interested in text messaging than working, the bread quality sucks, etc.

We have a beautiful brand new Subway near my house. Been there 5 times and 3 of those times they were out of meatballs. That's all I get is a meatball sub. So I left empty handied those 3 times. It's hard to go back knowing more likely than not, they have run no meatballs.

I am totally crazy about subway as I like all kind of sandwiches and that are very delicious no doubt.
I think there should be a franchise of this at every single city as this is a big hangout for everyone.
The franchise of this will no doubt generate a lot revenue which will be beneficial.
Thanks!!

$$$Money to burn
I recently inherited $100,000 and looked into the Subway deal but there are sooooo many in our area I couldn't even imagine making money. I am currently looking into a Spring-Green franchise Start a Lawn Care Service: Spring-Green Franchises Start-Up Costs has anyone ever dealt with this company or heard about them? I have to believe that it would go over well in my area, Northern Michigan. There are a fair amount of summer homes here and I feel that people would like a professional taking care of their yards while away. As with anything though there is always that stuff you dont find out untill its too late.

But, how much money will you make with only 6 months of work a year?
My Step father was a landscaper foreman for 6 years in Suburbs Detroit. Had to be laid off every year for 6 months and then plowed snow when he could.
Maybe you could see about combining the yard care and the property mgt of the summer homes?
or move south where there is lawn service needed every month of the year

Subway has absolutely no territory protection. You can drive 1 mile and see about 10 of them (there are two in the exact same nearby shopping center here, and atleast 5 of them within a mile of my house). To maximize sales per franchise, you need a decent territory protected.
Subway corporate is more about maximizing franchise fees paid then maximizing franchisee revenues.

The ingredients to make the sandwhich cost about $1.50, toss in labor, maybe .10 a sub, and you have $2.40 a sandwich to pay for other overhead (including royalties) and profits.
