Basically I own some decent level dot com domain names. I want to put them to use. Either ecommerce or information sites. Now I am not a stranger to making web sites and even ecommerce ones, but the industries related to my domains are not something I know much about.
I need a way to understand the market place to see what has better long term potential. Selling product or providing information. Is there a site/forum dedicated to such a subject?
This guy (Ed Dale) offers a good FREE course called the 30 day challenge. Other than occasional e-mails there is no charge for the material and included in the course are links to some very useful tools and forums.

I would suggest taking a local university extension course. You will be with others doing the same thing and get an idea of what the competition is, while learning from a successful professional. That kind of class is normally taught by people doing it, not by regular college professors. I took a course on marketing your artwork that did include some online marketing, and the instructor owned several upscale art galleries.
