Anyone here have experince with coupon magazines as a business? I get these in the mail a couple times a month and you also see em in newsracks around town.

They are basically full of coupons and special offers from local businesses.

Looking at the number of businesses that offer up coupons and the rates charged this sounds like a profitable business.

Anyways does anyone have experience with this? I tried searching Amazon for a book on it but it looks like too much of a niche thing to have a book written about it.

I've seen franchises of these types of businesses for sale. They are usually regional. I usually see the same advertisers (for years) in our local ones here so it must be working for them = profit for the magazine. Here's one of the better ones that is local to us home
In addition to being mailed out, you can pick them up at the grocery store.

Thanks for the info. The thing I like about these coupon magazines is that there is no pretensions here. It gets straight to the heart of things. It's basically a "magazine" full of ads!

So as the publisher, you don't have to write any content/articles. Just sell ads.

And the reader also knows what they're getting too. Ads!

Exactly, and I grab one every time I see one. There is always something I can use from there. Plus the fact that it is FREE, is a bonus. I don't mind paying for coupon books if there is a good value, but FREE is always best!

Good luck to you!
