Hi everyone. A very recent thread asking about startups got me wondering; how long do most people work in their business? If greater than 10+ hours per day, how is your time divided?

Well, we're open 12 hours per day, and I generally work every one of them. I don't stay late often, but have to put in 4-6 hours or so on a weekend day most weekends.

So that's what, a little less than 70 hours per week or so?

When we're open, I'm tethered to my desk, taking and filling orders. If I have a decent chunk of free time, I'll do the administrative stuff (invoicing, paying bills, running payroll, putting on IT hat, etc). On the weekend, I'm catching up on the administrative stuff I couldn't get done during the week.
