Is this possible to mail The Post Card with the address written in the Red Sharpie Ink using U.S.P.S.?! Or will The U.S.P.S. refuse it? Will their scanners not detect the Red Sharpie Ink? Should I not use the Red Sharpie Ink? Which Colour should I use? The Darker Ones?!

And I do not know which forum to post this in. Please move it to the proper category which I was not able to find it.

It's fine for regular mail. Idk why a post card would differ.

This is what my mail carrier said: If the scanner just can't read the zip code (regardless of the ink color) it goes into a stack and queues up until ultimately it flashes before a clerk's screen who has a second to read it and enter it in manually. If they can't read it, it goes into another queue and ultimately someone spends a little time trying to read the info and entering it in manually. If they can't read it, it goes to the USPS's equivalent of cryptographers who do what it takes to decipher the address.

It's not just the ink color, but the color of the background can prevent proper scanning. Certain type faces cant be read as it appears to the scanner like several numbers, and even "loud" pieces can prevent the scanner from figuring out what is the address. She said the more difficult you make reading an address, the longer it waits in Russian toilet paper and food lines before someone figures out what is written.
