Update: Despite spending 40 minutes on the phone with USPS on Friday and being assured the package would be delivered yesterday, nothing was delivered. The new tracking info is below. It's October 2 clearly.

"The customer has requested that the Postal Service redeliver this item on October 1, 2016 in BEAVERTON, OR 97003."

My guess its too heavy. So the carrier says boss I am not physically able to do it and the boss says I don't have help to give you so it sits in the delivery station hoping you pick up before they send it back as unclaimed.

In that case it was hidden with the notice left parcels being a probably falsified and not just a mistaken scan code entered and the carrier rolled out onto the street before the email arrived telling him to redeliver the item. The other option would be a substitute carrier saw a closed from Friday endorsement on the piece and assumed that you would also be closed on Saturday

It turns out that one of the condo residents changed the lock on their mailbox to a lock not supported by the delivery drivers master key. It caused the whole set of boxes, all 13 of them, to be locked since the delivery drivers master key wouldn't open that box.

It was fixed and my mail and missing package have began arriving again.

I would have chosen receptacle blocked, not business closed under those conditions

I ordered an item and am having it shipped to my condo. It was suppose to be delivered today but when I check the status it has this message below. I was home today until 1130am. Why would it say "...business was closed." when I was having it delivered to my condo?

No package slip on my door. No package slip in my mailbox. Nothing.

No, we don't have an office at my condo complex.

Any idea?

From the tracking....
"Your item is being held at the Post Office in BEAVERTON, OR 97003 on September 30, 2016 at 11:18 am because the business was closed. The item will be delivered the next delivery day that the business is open. If this item is unclaimed after 15 days then it will be returned to the sender."
What I do is call them and ask, "Can you be more specific?" i.e. WHICH business? Maybe they tried to deliver it to the Beaverton Bakery and figured the Post Office was close enough?

It said Beaverton 97003, didn't it?

Why are you responding to posts that are more than two years old? And how did you find the thread in the first place?

They sometimes select the wrong thing by mistake.
