Were you ever asked to do something you felt uncomfortable with and what was the outcome?

Where you ever blindsided where you were blamed for someone's else work or mistake? Outcome?

You can DM me if you don't want to directly post.

Yes, more than once over the years I have been put in difficult positions. Sometimes you can minimize the damage to your reputation but the well connected power players will almost always win so be careful dealing with the situation. Make your case known with minimum conflict, do not make anything personal, and be prepared to withdraw to a non-confrontational position. Even if you are 110% right, an uncomfortable situation will damage your standing.

Smile Gray areas

What if it is the well connected power players who are behind what they want you to do but....it will never come out that way??

stick with the business info, minimize personalities.

Document and distribute your business reasons and the relevant risks (Don't minimize or expound these, just bring them to their knowledge, they might not have seen this avenue)
Be a good 'worker bee' since you have managers... give them respect and they will return (usually)
Don't do anything illegal or against proper business conduct.

Relax and maybe you will be pleasantly surprised; I have on occasion, but other times my hunch came true. (don't rub that in their face!, just rest on your previous warning and move on) Choose your battle wisely
