Gander Mountain posted on its website Friday that it is closing all of its stores and will liquidate its merchandise. The website said gift cards will be accepted only until May 18. The company filed for voluntary Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in March and began the work to restructure the company and remain in business.

Interesting that Marcus Lemonis of "The Profit" TV show bought it with his Camping World holdings company. If anyone can turn this ship around maybe it is he. But no question, it will be a challenge.

From the stuff I was reading they were still goign to close most locations but were keeping a lot around Indianapolis area open.

I don't think any more so than REI and some of these other high end outdoor stores. I always felt like they were pretty competitive on guns, thats really the only thing I would ever bee looking at from there.
