Gee, since the post office is doing so well now anyways, why don't we keep it the way it is? No telling what will happen if we attempt to fix the problem.

The point is that these protesters are postal workers, with a union, negotiated pay and benefits. They obviously protest because they will be let go and replaced with people that have a much lower pay scale and benefits package, if any.

Yep, post office is a coveted federal job, federal jobs are one of the last real jobs you can get thats not some kind of low end service job or gig contract work.

I am guessing the goal of the USA is to have a nation full of pseudo homeless people working casual gig work with no stable income or job security. Isent that want the dark ages looked like?
