I sell DVDs, Blu-rays, and books online. I’ve been selling more bundles lately since they’re more profitable. I was looking for a source to buy in bulk a bunch of boxes that could fit 15-20 DVDs each. I tried Amazon and they sell a bundle of 50 that only packs 6, which is a horrible deal. I also found a website that is priced better, but the biggest size they have is for 10 DVDs.

Can anyone help me out with a cost effective solution?

Uline looks great! I’ll have to give them a call since I didn’t see ones that outright say which would be best for my purpose. I was a little surprised about what they did have specialty boxes for like rifles, but I guess I shouldn’t be that surprised haha.

Scratch that I did find this: https://www.uline.com/Product/Detail...-Bulk-Shippers

If I start with 100 boxes to test out I’d pay $81 at $0.81 per box. Since I can ship media mail and my boxes would weigh between 6 and 7 pounds I’d pay: $5.72 + $0.81 = $6.53

Anyone know if I can do better than $6.53 per box for 25 DVDs?

No one ever said Uline would be cheap. They’re not.

What they are is huge and you get your shipment overnight.

Shop around. There are lots of packaging stores. Paper Mart, Fetpak, etc.

You think 81 cents is high for a box that is strong and the exact size you need? It will also cost you to ship the empty boxes from Uline to you.

How much are you charging the customer for 25 DVD's? That doesn't cover the cost of the box?

Not at all, I think it’s a good price. But why wouldn’t I ask if someone could provide a better price?

You’re right though I should factor in the cost of Uline shipping them to me as part of the cost.

As for DVDs those prices fluctuate wildly. Some bundles that size sell well above the $200 range, while others are tough to move for a buck a disc or less.

Of course it's fine to keep looking for a better price. No problem there. I was just thinking how amazing it was that you found the perfect size box.
