I am not sure what category this technically falls under but I currently have the free Hulu basic plan through sprint. I wanted to upgrade my Hulu to the ad free version. Does anyone know if I do upgrade will I be charged the difference of the two plans or the entire amount per month of the new plan?

Upgrade and see; you can always un-upgrade if it turns out to change the plan terms.

Or contact them; they do have a CS department.

But yup, that $4 is the best money I spend on a monthly basis. Not just removing the tiresome ads, but shortening viewing time by 15 minutes a program.
