Default Relocating a business!

Hello Everyone! I have a questions for all you tax and business pro's!

I'm a writer by trade. I've been operating my own business for 10 years in Ohio. I'm tired of the taxation - - - Ohio literally punishes me for making more money, so why bother (?).

With that in mind, my husband and I want to relocate to the south (NC or SC). I know that SC is much, much more friendly to the small biz.

Is is possible and **legal** to established a business in another state without living there? For instance, can I establish a business in Nevada, South Dakota, or Wyoming while living in another state in order to take advantage of the tax base? My business is only long-distance based (all via internet). I never ever see a client face-to-face.

I'm so tired of being punished for being successful in Ohio. I can see why everyone is leaving.

Any ideas / expertise any of you have to offer is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!
