Is your business slowing down?
I work at the small bank, so far it's been OK, but I'm in a mortgage business, so I'm sitting here and waiting for the next loan to come through.......
I have a part time business as a photographer, I have calls here and there, but I don't think it will be the "need" for people to take a family portrait, but I hope that people still find some sentimental values in their photographs...
Due to the financial crisis, how is your business doing? If you are self-employed, do you still have customer calling/coming/buying/whatever else from you? What do you think future of your business will be?
Please share!

Business is kind of slow but I expected that for July and August. I thought that it would have picked up by now but I'll be patient. Good thing I've been diversifying.

People need water either way. I drill water wells. I will say there is VERY little new construction. We are about the same as last year.

We slowed down a lot over the last couple of months but calls are starting to come in this week that could keep us busy well into the new year. Our business is commercial/residential construction.

It was rather slow during July/August, but that is typical. Things started to pick up fairly well in the middle of September. We are doing well, but we are also doing a lot more than we were last year.

No, I am becoming concerned with keeping up. I max out at about 80 hours a week.
I shifted into energy design and renewable energy a few years ago when I saw this mess coming after studying Peak Oil. Presently I have customers raising my prices for me -- they actually tell me to charge more because they figure that will get their projects on line faster.

Ours actually seems to be holding its own pretty decent right now. With the hunting season just opening I'm holding my breath because a good portion of our business will be conducted over the next two months.I hope all goes well.
