Struggling automaker Chrysler LLC insisted on Sunday that it is a viable company despite tough market conditions and will be able to repay a four billion dollar loan from the US government.
"We see that as a bridge loan... and we fully intend to repay that," chief executive officer Bob Nardelli told reporters on the sidelines of the Detroit auto show.

I hope so. I would like to see Chrysler produce a quality car like Honda. They first have to replace the idiot lawyers and accountants at the top who have been keeping this company back in terms of producing a car based on high profit and not reliability.
I'd like to think they can be viable & successful too. I want to know what they';re going to change. You give a few billion dollars to a failing company, and let them continue as they were, doing exactly that which led them to NEED the loan in the frst place, and you realy can't expect much more than continued failure, can you? I certainly don't want the US government in the car making business, but I wouldn't give them this loan without some indication that they plan do SOMETHING different.
I don't see Chrysler totally going away, but they will need some type of alliance or partner to recover. As for the loans, I don't now, I don't see them repaying the loans anytime soon.
How is he going to repay 4 billion when nobody is buying cars? Its so funny... loan me a billion and let me spend all of it and I will tell you that I would be able to repay that billion next year by doing nothing... yeah, right...
