Post News. Don't Call It a Bonus: Bailout Banks Still Generous to Execs.

Some banks are quietly helping their executives to six-figure awards -- some object to the word "bonus" -- even as they take many millions in taxpayer bailout funds, a review of business filings shows.

First Horizon Bank in Tennessee gave its incoming Chief Financial Officer a $350,000 award in mid-November, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

They deserve that 'award' for their part in figuring out how to bilk the US taxpayer out of billions. Brilliant criminal minds.

These excecs remind me of one of those con artists who pray on the trusting nature of some people. There will always be people like this. The American people could be looking at living in mud huts and somebody, somewhere will figure out a way to tax mud for their own personal gain.

You have to ask why the gov. allowed them to even keep their jobs... most people in lower positions get fired for being incompetent. These twitts get "awards" and we pay for them. guess it pays to know people in office... To any senator or Congress men that read this I want to meet you :-)

Here is the simple solution - you take the gov money the exec. brancj is hereby terminated, no bonus, no benefits, to severance. pack yourr things and the guard will escort you out. We will seek ethical people and offer a fair wage but not 7 digits to do the roles. You will not be allowed to sell off your assets at low rates. you will do what you can to keep home owners in their home, lower the interest if thats all it takes.
Dry up the short sales and the losses will slow.

For the car companies. you take the money and you are required to stop producing gas that burn oil based products.... there will be no more gasoline engines. Guess what.. I just fixed the bulk of the oil price issues with that one. How hard was that?

Now I change new construction and require it all be self sufficient. I promote tax breaks for retrofitting solar and wind power on all buildings. With th epush towards alternate energies guess what country becomes the best in a new industry?

While we are at it... lets end the Federal Reserve and make their function part of the government. this way we don't pay interest to private banks on OUR money.

hmm tax breaks for small business?

End of the IRS? use taxes only...

find Osama and interogate him. do the same for the other Saudis that funded the 9/11 attack.

Try W and his cabinet for all their deeds... hold those in office accountable for their actions... make the politicians honest.

investigate Rumsfeld and the justice department with regards to Nutrasweet and get that poison out of food... take Olestra with it.

hmmm what else on my wish list... repeal the patriot act

try the person that revealed the CIA spy identity for treason... even if it is Cheney or Bush and yes I realize treason can receive the death sentence.

remove much of the secrecy of the government and the actions they do in our name

overhaul the insurance industries.

create uniform penalties for various crimes

legalize drugs and eliminate the profit from them... they will no longer have pushers promotiing them as there won't be a profit in it...

investigate police and reaffirm they operate within the law.

eliminate PAC's and ALL donations to politicians. Lobbyists go geet a real job cause I will end yours.

Ok thats enough to start with...
