Default Recession helps boost McDonald's sales

NEW YORK - McDonald's Corp. said Monday its same-store sales rose 7.1 percent in January, as cash-strapped consumers lined up for the fast-food company's burgers and breakfast items.

Total sales in January rose 2.6 percent.

In the U.S., same-store sales, or sales at stores open for at least 13 months, rose 5.4 percent during the month.

hardly a surprise. People who were living way above their status have swaped classy restaurants for fast-food chains. Time to wake up.

This statement contradicts the bar i went to last night. 15 yr whiskey, $15 a glass. The food ranged from 10 to 40 a plate, the place was packed, this was a Sunday.

I miss mcdonnalds breakfast is the only reason i go there every once in a while.
