Calgary's Winter 2011/2012 (living, close to, ride)

Just wanted to make a comment about the amazing winter Calgary is experiencing SO FAR.... With 1 full week of COLD, the rest has been outstanding. This is the kind of weather I remember growing up with. Chinook after Chinook. +8 by Wednesday again! Wahoo! Holding my breath for a easy ride into Spring...

Don't hold your breathe. February can be brutal and the all the snow comes in March. We are not even close to being out of the woods.

Born and raised here, so I know what spring means in Calgary. Since we've had great weather so far, I won't be crying if we have a cold Feb & March. It is what it is, I just want to be positive.

Even now that winter is over, I have to say this was the warmest winter I have ever expirienced in Canada. I must say though, Spring is not looking too promising.

Does Banff/Lake Louise count as Calgary? (Kidding, sort of.) Anyone living so close to such a natural wonder is very fortunate. I enjoyed my visit to Calgary and environs very much
