Moving to calgary shortly from a small city and have no clue if gas is going to make me broke

If anyone here has a full size truck and works Monday to Friday. (Let's say from one of the NW or SW areas to downtown) how much money do you spend on gas each week or each month? It's a pretty broad question but I would like to get an idea

I drive a '08 1500 ram and get anywhere from 11-13mpg city, 16ish hwy.

You're joking right? It's practically a requirement. You are really asking way too broad of a question for a good answer, and the fact of the matter is that you'll spend exponentially more for parking than you will for gas.

Far too many Calgarians own trucks.

Just as kids in eastern Canada trick out Hondas and Toyotas into "rice rockets," so do Calgarians trick out pickup trucks into "danger on wheels." Nothing like watching a pickup truck fishtail up the street because the driver put the pedal to the metal with little regard for parked vehicles. Some of which he hits.

Gas isn't your problem. Insurance is.
