Hi everyone. I am new to this so go easy on me. I am going to begin my Bachelor of science this fall at MRU in Calgary area, hopefully majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology. I have lately been struggling between doing a Bachelor of Science, or getting into SAIT and do the Medical Lab technician program, which eventually is what I would like to get into. I was leaning toward going to SAIT for the two year diploma when I found out I was getting a scholarship for my academical achievement at MRU to start my degree. Would it be easier to get a degree and prepare for the CSMLS exam? Is there a lot of competition/ job opportunities as a MLT? I am 27 years old by the way, am I too old to pursue a career as a MLT?
