Looking for a place to live short term while I'm looking for a place it rent. New job there, so I will be working during the week and searching after work. Any suggestions? Work is just south east of down town.

Check AirBnB, that worked well for us but we weren't long term. Otherwise the usual extended stay hotels?

Note that occupancy rates are down significantly for rentals so you should be able to rent very quickly, this website is your best bet as well as Kijiji or just drive around your target neighborhoods, always lots of rental signs out on the buildings.
