I would think south of Redding would be your best bet. Pretty conservative north of that.

I would advise to just stay away from any city along freeway 5 and 99. Your best bet are cities along the 101 freeway or the PCH (Highway 1), basically the coast. I see your area of interests have moved.

From your posts, I would second Santa Barbara.
