I'll bet that has more to do with the neighborhood you live in/visit than CA itself. Good looking people tend to be in wealthier neighborhoods. You must be in one of them. Go to a low income neighborhood and there's a higher percentage of obesity, bad teeth, and dissipated appearance. Wealthier people often have time and money for the gym and better health care. Go to an upper middle class neighborhood in any US city and you'll see the best looking people there. Go to the boonies or the ghettos and it is a different story. Compare the "hot moms" shopping at Saks with the women of Walmart.

Besides:

Tight butts get rich husbands.
A man will marry the best looking woman he can afford.
A woman can marry more money in 20 minutes than she can earn in a lifetime.

Only because the top tier of east coast people (salaries over $100K for example) can afford to move to LA and those people tend to be better educated. Your boston cab driver or new york window washer isn't moving to LA.

Most of the old folk don't, but many of the kids do.

Ya know, like, I never hear kids say like "bitchen" anymore, you know?

I'm all, "What phrases are teenagers using these days?"

LOL! Fair question! San Diego and Newport Beach but with parents from New York. Guess they were a bad influence on me but not totally. Never did care for the Yankees!

My dad (b L.A., 1925) apparently was a huge Brooklyn fan, but was happier than a pig in **** when they came west to his hometown.
