I don't know, looking at that map the section they've labeled the "Inland Empire" doesn't actually include any of the REAL Inland Empire - which is just the very western tip of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties - which seem to be included in "LA-land" according to the map - and that's actually pretty accurate.

Now if they renamed the section of the map currently labeled "Inland Empire" as "The Desert" then I'd go for it!

I consider the Santa Ynez Range the boundary between SoCal and Central Cal. So Solvang is Central Coast, but Santa Barbara is So Cal.

If you can surf without a wetsuit, it is SoCal.
