Default Vandenberg Air Force Base job relocation (Help needed)

I might have to relocate to the Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Barbara, and from the research I have done so far I understand that the closest cities to live are Lompoc, Santa Ynez, Orcutt and Santa Maria. Which one would be the most desirable one?

Not Lompoc, if you have money, Santa Ynez is very nice, and expensive, it is home to horse Ranches and celebrities, like the infamous Michael Jackson.

Orcutt is more affordable than Santa Ynez. South Santa Maria, ditto, North Santa Maria tends more toward hispanic, which may or may not be what you want.

Lompoc... Lots of past posts on this subject.

Default Not Lompoc

We currently live in Lompoc, and I can say its nothing special. It isnt awful
but its just.....blah. Lots of section 8 housing mixed in with ok and nicer
homes. I would say Orcutt is a nice choice, and even nicer weather to be
found in Buellton! The whole area is terribly overpriced. There are lots of
threads on Lompoc.Check them out.
