Meanwhile lets have a proposition that removes the First Amendment protections for a Free Press from Fox News. By their thinking if a majority of people vote to take that right away, then that's that.

These days I am so proud to be from Massachusetts where Liberty and Justice for all are not just hollow words in the Pledge of Allegiance but we actually believe it. Where Freedom is just not a concept but a way of life.

This issue will go on forever. If the supreme court lets gay marriage continue then the mormans and other right wingers will fight it again. it's just going around in circles.

Good point. Actually the only states where gay marriage was instituted but over-ruled are Maine and California and it was because these basic rights were actually voted on by the electorate. I'd fear that given a vote that gay marriage would be repealed in most of the states where it is currently allowed, esp Iowa. Sad.

That's New England for ya That's where America "started". Look at New Hamshire, their motto is "live free or die".
