Hi Folks

Im interested in chatting to anyone who either was based or who had family that was based In Northern Ireland during the second world war, that may have worked for the Lockheed Overseas Corporation, the reason I am posting this here is that the majority of the workforce was recruited from California.

My father and his friend were in No. Ireland with the LOC. They were there sometime around March 1943 through April 1944. I can't tell you much, but I do have some pictures and the letters he wrote to his mother during that time.

Default Langford Lodge - Arthur Moore

Not sure where to post this or if any of the Langford Lodge group are left.
My father, Arthur Moore was at Langford Lodge with Lockheed Overseas Group.
He passed away on Nov 8th at 104.

Hi Everyone, Many thanks for taking the time to reply to me with regards to LOC personnel at Langford Lodge in Northern Ireland, please keep the posts coming, I would love to hear from you all; I am still researching the Langford Lodge story and that greatest generation that came from the other side of the world to help us win the war during those years.

My wife’s father worked there. Royal Wiley from Los Angeles. He kept a journal of the Atlantic transit. I just finished transcribing it. If you like, I will post it. Also have a souvenir booklet from the Giant’s Causeway with many of the employees’ names written on the cover page. Could also post that. Question: Royal’s journal does not specify a year. I’m assuming ‘42, but could be’43. Need help nailing that down.
