I thought we were all supposed to have jet packs that would enable us, as individuals, to fly from place to place. When is that gonna happen???

Huh...that's odd. People here want to be freed from automobile dependency due to its inconvenience. Do you think people down there will still find cars "convenient" when gasoline is $8 a gallon?

Except in a few very dense places like SF, how is a car inconvenient? It takes me where I want to go, when I want to go, and I don't have to share my seat with someone who smells like a horse and mumbles to himself the entire trip.

Yay, I love my tax money going to a huge trillion dollar project that will serve absolutely no benefit to me

I am still hoping that thing goes down in flames. I might even consider voting for Meg Whitman so she can destory our economy even more and completely bankrupt us so this doesn't happen.

Well, there you go again ... looking for any opportunity to dance ... even if in the atmosphere ... bump and grind, bump and grind, -- whoosh! ... once again, I think it would be fun to happy banjo music ... perhaps we could set up arena sound systems broadcasting up from the old freeways to enhance the flights.

Just remember to be careful what you wish for ... the easier and slicker transport becomes, the more people will use it. One might say that's exactly, obviously, the idea ... but do you really want "them" moving around at will? (You know who I mean ... "they" are everywhere.)

The price of jet pack fuel is now too high, so we all need to learn to flap our arms like a bird's wings.
