I am just wondering if anyone knows what the schools are like in Temecula and Beaumont. I went to school in Banning and it was not a good experience, don't want my kids going there. Is Beaumont or Temecula any safer, less fights, gangs, drugs?

I live in Temecula. My son is not in school yet but I have many friends here who have nothing but positive things to say about the school system. Temecula also has some superb private schools. Heck, they even have a nice home schooling program. There are better schools in CA, but not in towns as affordable as Temecula.

The one caveat that applies to everywhere in the state is this: the budgets for schools are being cut everywhere. They are laying off a lot of teachers. I fully expect the school ratings across the state to suffer down the road. That said, you will make a good decision going to Temecula. I'm looking to move up North, but for reasons totally unrelated to schools. My wife and I have been pleasantly surprised at how nice of a family town Temecula is. It's just a great family place. It seems like my wife makes another friend every time she goes to a park with the kid.
