Default fun date ideas

I am new to the LA area and would like some fun creative date ideas. I am young and pretty adventurous. I know LA is a big place with a lot of hidden gems so please give me all of your ideas.

Low pressure, neutral ideas:

Afternoon bike ride on the beach
Santa Anita Racetrack
Dodger game
Laserium
Petersen Automobile Museum
Hiking (but wait until winter because it is probably too hot in summer)
Palm Springs Tram
Mt. Baldy Chair lift
Rent a little boat on Lake Piru (or Castaic or Cachuma or Casitas) and cruise around the lake
Universal Studios tour (if not a hot day)
Take an Amtrak train ride to Carpenteria or Santa Barbara (I'm pretty sure but not positive you can do this)

Well, though it wasnt in dating, occaisionally I would take my kids on the Metrolink and check out the little shops on Olivera St. Other areas are mentioned in here though, such as the trams, chairlifts and the beaches, but keep in mind you might want to check ahead of time, some of those places are seasonal.
And steer clear of Lake Perris. Its no longer the pretty, fun place it used to be when my cousins and I would go there.
I used to take the kids to Dodger staduim once a year.
How close or how far from L A would you go, for that date?
