Default VAFB information

I was hoping someone might be able to tell me what towns both large and very small are north of VAFB no more then a 30 minute drive. I am not interested in the towns that are south of the base, only north.

I have tried to pull up a map of the towns, but some show a few others show more... I would like to know of all the towns that are north of the base within a 30 minute drive.
Thank you and have a great Sunshiny day!

There are really only two towns to consider which are north of the base. One is Orcutt, which is the closest, about 15 minutes up HWY 1 from Vandenberg. It's a small town, good school system. Next would be Santa Maria, population near 100,000, it's just north of Orcutt about 20 minutes from VAFB. Most shopping for both areas is done in Santa Maria. As in most towns, there are nice areas and not so nice areas of Santa Maria. I have lived in SM pretty much all my life, and enjoy living here. Santa Maria has probably some of the most affordable housing in the area, some may since since it's the least desirable. All in all I think it's a nice place to call home.
