Thumbs up Grateful

Thanks so much for your words of encouragement and the great lead. I'll let you know how my visit goes. My hometown is St. Louis, MO...I see you wrote from Sparta.
Thanks again.

Thank you so much. I had a wonderful worship experience. It was everything you said it would be.
Gratefully,
Bevann

Regarding music and photography... You might also want to check out the Huntington Library and Gardens in San Marino.

There are jazz clubs all over LA. Get a copy of the LA Weekly and look in the back. They have a listing for jazz clubs. (They are online too -- I think it's "laweekly.com" -- but I don't know if they list all the clubs online or not.)

I got rid of my old computer so I lost a lot of my bookmarks, but there is a website "experiencela" (either .com or .org) that lists a ton of events and places to go in Los Angeles. You can also find all the free museum days on that website. (The Gene Autry museum in Griffith Park is free on Thursday evenings in the summer and it's a lot of fun there at night. They usually have a live band and they teach dances in their courtyard -- plus they have food, drinks, etc. The LA County Museum of Art has a similar thing on Friday evenings, but without the dancing... )

Tottienicole is on a distinguished road
Hi Bevan,
I am a 28 almost 29 year old single African American woman who is considering a 13 week assignment in Arcadia as an Occupational Therapist. I found your post while searching for things to do in Arcadia. I also enjoy latin dancing and go often here in Baltimore, MD. I plan on being in the area Labor Day weekend if all goes well. I would love information on what things you found to do there and what your thoughts are about the location as far being single and African American

Default Arcadia California

I am considering temporarily relocating to Arcadia for work. I am a 28 year old single African American female Occupational Therapist from Baltimore, Maryland. I am not exactly sure what the are of Arcadia is like. I enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, competing in triathlons, going to the gym, dancing (especially latin), and attending different cultural events. I was wondering if Arcadia offers access to these activities.
