Default Imperial County 1950's...(Westmorland, Brawley)

Hello, I'm looking for someone that has lived in Imperial County in the 1950's or earlier (1930's or 40's). I have a presentation on the demographic shift of the area and why. So far I've been able to come up with the recent statistics http://www.city-data.com/city/Westmo...alifornia.html http://www.city-data.com/county/Imperial_County-CA.html which shows me the area is overwhelmingly Hispanic and mostly work in agriculture, but I can't find any details from previous years. If someone could provide me with a description of the work and demographics of Imperial County, specifically the area of Westmorland and Brawley from the 1930's-1950's that would be great. Thank you!

and

Imperial County Historical Society
373 East Aten Road, Imperial, CA 92251-9653 (760) 352-1165

I couldn't answer your question with any certainty, but I don't think there has been a demographic shify in any of the Imperial Valley cities since they were first settled. They have always been very Hispanic and slow growing...dependant on agriculture mainly. Brawley with ranching as well.
