So just because they may not win the division people shouldn't like them? that makes no sense. You don't see me ragging on your home team. I like the Chargers win or lose. Deal with it.

Well you should like them win or lose. You are actually from SD and not from the bay area, trying to find an asinine reason to poke at texas. You actually have a vested interest in the team. Which is why my qualm is not with you. You are not a poseur.

True to form, you thrash anything California and moan how much better Chicago is.

I loved the people singing in the streets of San Francisco that the Texas Ranger rednecks are dead. Now another song fest in San Diego of cheers for the Chargers that the Houston Texans lost.

Schwarzenegger and Boxer carried that California spirit by laughing that Texans lost in the election also.

What gets me about that guy is that I have a friend in Seattle who likes the Chargers too and they're from Washington originally, not from the Bay Area.

Better go inform them that they are too far away to root for them and that they're being a typical Bay Area liberal LOL

You got to be kidding. Some of the nitwit politicians you guys elect.

It's worse then the dishonest politicians that come out of Chicago.

I know this thread is about sports not politics but do you honestly want to open up the discussion to include your governor and state legislature? I wouldn't go there in this forum. Better for Texans to praise their Jesus-loving state on the Texas forum.

Arnold and Barbara were talking about the Giants win over the Rangers and then threw in how badly the Texas oil companies lost in the California election also. Our new lieutenant governor, former mayor of San Francisco, turned the Texas phrase around by announcing to Texas: "don't mess with California" and that's the exact message the California voters sent to Texas.

Seems like texas is kicking our ass, if you ask me:

Up to date unemployment numbers (sept 2010):
Texas: 8.1%
Cali: 12.2%

Uh I was one of the people cheering in the streets buddy. Unlike you, I was actually there supporting the giants year in and year out, worked there in college, where as you have not said anything about the giants until october.

Please do not bring the giants into this. I'm just happy we won, period, the state or people of texas have nothing to do with this, its a sport. People who try to act like their team is some how a political entity to do battle with people from another state remind me of this:

Well, duh! I live in metro LA. Why would I be a Giants fan since the Dodgers and Giants have one of the biggest rivalries and hate for each other of most sports franchises? Since the Dodgers have been in the toilet due to on-going ugly divorce of the two owners, I stopped following baseball this year. But I can never not watch the world series; doesn't matter what the two teams are. And I was happy for the Giants when they went up against the Phillies since they were not favored. And when the Rangers beat the Yankees everybody predicted that the Giants would be stomped by Texas. But the exact opposite happened!

I'm not surprised you went to the Giants celebration; wasn't the guy smoking the dubbie you?

Great chart! I noticed the Texas and California unemployment rates were about the same in 2006 and then CA unemployment took off when the idiotic AB 32 was passed.
