In all my years in Los Angeles (too many) I've seen it snow three times. It always melts within about 15 minutes after it stops snowing.
Big Bear is like that. It snows there and stays for a few days to a few weeks depending on how much they get. That's my favorite place to go snowboarding in the winter.

I've spent some time in Big Bear, particularly before motel costs went so high. I used to love to spend a weekend up there particularly in the summer when everything is so quiet and peaceful. I like Mammoth better. I used to go there a lot, in the winter, in the summer. I'd rather ski Mammoth than anywhere else.

Both are in California. I want out. I want to live in a place where it snows then evaporates/melts, etc.

1. I loved how California used to be the center of education and innovation.
2. I loved how California used to balance budgets and ensure low tax rates.
3. I loved how California used to have less government and lower fees.
4. I loved how California used to be the trend setter for the nation, rather than the pariah it has become.
5. I still love the diverse natural beauty of California.

Trader Joe's isn't just for Californians!

Part of my criteria for possible relocation destinations is having a Trader Joe's although I'd consider moving to a city without TJ's. I use TJ's store locations list to get ideas for places to check out.
