What do you think of Valencia, Ca? Saugus, CA? Newhall, CA? Canyon Country, CA -- Santa Clarita Valley. I'm planning to move to Valencia, CA where houses are more affordable. I've heard that Santa Clarita is one of the safest areas to live in the US. Also, since I work at Burbank, living in SCV isn't that bad in terms of driving. But I would like to hear more from others.
How about the cities in San Fernando Valley? Thanks! |

The northern (Chatsworth, Northridge Porter Ranch, Granada Hills) and southern areas (Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Tarzana, Woodland Hills) of the S.F. valley have a lot more people than they did 30 years ago, but are still nice places and there are a lot of places to shop at. |

I personally love the Santa Clarita area. I live about 45 min from there but spent a lot of time going back and forth as my boyfriend was there for 3 yrs. He lived in a nice area, good schools, lots of places to go and things to do and so many yummy places to eat, the only complaint was trying to get from one side of town to the freeway depending on where you live could take 30 min. I personally liked it way more then the San Fernando Valley which is where my boyfriend commutes too (West Hills/Northridge area)

Santa Clarita is very hot in summer, just something to keep in mind in case that bothers you. Traffic is a nightmare getting across town, at times. Since you work in Burbank, you're in luck if you ever want to get a rest from the traffic. Metrolink serves Burbank from SC.
