Has anyone gotten in under a hardship petition into a CSU? Is their any gurantee in them?

After Jerry's proposed budget came out today there are probably no guarantees right now about anything involving CSU/UC next academic year.

""We will work with the administration and the legislature to minimize, as much as possible, impact to students. However, the reality is that we will not be able to admit as many students as we had been planning for this fall," added Reed."

I'm trying to get accepted to a CSU right now! I'll know in about another 2 weeks. I hope I get in since this is the 2nd time I'm applying.

Same here. You think we will know in 2 weeks? I applied to Cal Poly SLO and Cal Poly Pomona.

My gosh I can't believe Jerry Brown is in office. I guess instead of more students getting BAs to get jobs he is going to push students to get low-paying jobs if they get anywhere.

I will have finished my GE in Spring and I don't know if I can get in anywhere when the time comes.

What exactly is a "hardship petition"? Do you mean you need financial aid or something?

A hardship peitition is a second chance at acceptance which is writing a letter to the dean of admissions stating my reason why I can not go to any other school like financially can't, physically cant, etc...

Which I have a backed up medical reason, but I don't know if it would help.

Well, I was specifically told by them that I'd hear something in mid-Jan. When I wasn't accepted the first time which was last year, I got a non-acceptance email...on my birthday which is Jan. 16th. Some b-day present to me!
