The bulk of the complaints seem to be for the PG&E meter.

In the past 12 hrs i have used 3 kwh. I pay .17 per kwh & that includes the 20% low income reduction. The highest electric bill i have had since i have been here (12.1 yrs) has been about $20.00 (incl the discount). I bet my electric bills for now on will be over $20.00 month. My last billing cycle (late dec-late jan) i used 47 kwh (not 41 as prev stated). Thats 47 kwh over 32 days = approx 1.47 kwh day. I can kiss those days goodbye. At least winter is almost over so the days are longer + i stored away my quartz electric heater (power guzzler). A robe, sweats, socks, slippers & a blanket work just fine to keep me warm + its not freezing outside.

Its not off & the fridge is cold. My ice cream is soft though. I know ill have to turn it up as summer approaches. I have always kept my setting below #2. #3 is normal & #5 is coldest. My fridge is 13 yrs old but its frost free & still works good. I dont have much food in my fridge anyways but i sure wont let my triple berry pie, chocolate milk & 1/4 stater bros sub spoil.

I have used 8 KWh for the past 48 hrs. My neighbor is @ 21 & another neighbor is @ 24. The one @ 24 KWh leaves her lights on outside on the patio & carport all night. Im dreading summer cause i run my cooler & fans all day & night (cooler is off at night).

Overall there have been plenty of complaints about SCE. Monolopy companies like SCE get away with alot & treat people poorly cause they have no competition.

A meter is a meter is a meter, it should register what you use. If your old meter was broken and was registering less just hope they don't come after you for the usage you did not pay for while it was not recording properly.

My old mechanical dial meter wasnt broke it was just old & slow. Im up to 30 kwh for 6 days now. The meter always was recording. Even if it wasnt recording it wouldnt be my fault. I always conserve & dont waste electricity.

I just got my new bill today. From 3/31 - 4/29 i used 108 kwh ($9.90). My daily avg was 3.72 kwh. Last yr was .86 & 2 yrs ago was .53. I have actually used less power last month then i have during any april ever but the new meter says different. Its obvious the old mechanical meter was slow & i sure miss it. I bet so.ca edison is as happy as a teen boy on a date knowing hes going to get laid. UGH !!!!!
