Interesting that none of the ones listed are in LA (not L.A.), MS or other states whose educational systems are always getting panned by the media.

I noticed that as well...another reason I don't pay any attention, except for entertainment purposes to these dumb studies.

Here is a perfect example: AR is rated the 47th most unhappy state in the union, but Bella Vista is rated one of the best places to retire in the USA (over and over) and just recently Ft Smith was chosen as one, if not the best and least expensive place in America to live. Also notice on the list was one AR school and I didn't see a single LA, WV, NM or MS school on the list but these are the states that rank the lowest educationally: go figure!!!
