I'm not sure I'd call any of these cities suburbs and Fresno isn't even in Northern California. San Jose is the 3rd largest city in CA. Stockton is a medium-sized city, so I'm not sure how it's a suburb either...and what would it be a suburb of- Sacramento maybe?
It would make more sense to have actual suburban cities like maybe Mountain View, Palo Alto, Walnut Creek, Pleasanton, etc. for a comparison of Northern CA suburban downtowns.

But that's exactly why he worded it the way he did, to make the point that they are suburbs and stir the pot. I don't think he even cares about the results, he just wants to argue with the people that will disagree that those cities are actually suburbs.

Calling SJ and Fresno suburbs is almost like calling Colorado Springs a suburb of Denver, or San Diego a suburb of LA, even though I agree that SJ has long had the "feel" of a suburb.

Regardless, this thread is nothing but a mine waiting to be stepped on.

Did Majin travel to the Bay Area to use a computer again? That's dedication.

I know a suburb you really should hate, Billy Bob:

If Sac had a nice arena like San Jose or Stockton, then Fresno State Bulldogs football wouldn't be the most popular sporting entity in the Central Valley come this fall.

lol, ouch krudmonk. Below the belt. His awesome "city" is losing the team to a "suburb."
