Default Legislators want to pack guns

Theater of the Absurd and the height of hypocrisy.

Guns: Bill would make it easier for California lawmakers to carry concealed weapons - latimes.com

California has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation and unless you're well "connected" or in one of a very few occupations, it's well nigh impossible to get a Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) Permit. CA also does not grant reciprocity to CCW holders from other states as 38 of them do.

Proponents claim they've received threats so they need to protect themselves. Perhaps if they did their jobs they wouldn't want or need guns to shoot citizens to whom they've denied the right to protect themselves.

As for me, I wouldn't trust those bozos with pea shooters. They'd probably shoot their eyes out!

I generally don't trust most people who feel the need to carry a weapon. Police are required to have them, and go through training. What about the rest who carry?

Reminds me of that loudmouth Rosie O'Donnell's stance on gun ownership. "Do as I say, not as I do."

I don't know of a concealed carry permit-issuing county in California that doesn't require training and safety instruction prior to issuing.

i would feel better if they just amended the weapons laws to allow open carry for legislators in state government buildings. Concealed weapons makes me a tad nervous unless they're law enforcement officials who've been trained to draw their guns under stress.

It's going to complicate the tactical planning when the John and Ken mob comes to place their heads on sticks.
