I agree to a point. think you're overstating the case. California's real estate prices are absurdly high. The worst part about it is it doesn't have to be that way. Supply is artificially constrainted by NIMBYs using the smokescreen of environmentalism, keeping prices higher than necessary.

You're also coming off as an arrogant Californian. It seems many Californians assume that the rest of the country is a redneck backwater. We're quick to notice the closed mindedness of others, but not our own
