Default Best Mexican restaurants?

I go to the Borders,Acapulco,El Torrito

Any great suggestions on Mexican Restaurants,it also can be a hole in the wall type

The best places are the one of a kinds you've never heard of. I go to Old Town Placentia for Mexican food.

Borders I've never heard of as a Mexican restaurant, only as a bookstore. Acapulco and El Torrito, while adequate, I wouldn't really consider if I was in the mood for Mexican. As EscapeCalifornia mentioned the best places are the hole in the wall small family run restaurants.

Either Boarders or Borders,there is one near Laguna and pasadena

Concur. Hole in the wall are the best. Manny's El Taco de Mexico is one, I think. Nice when they have a little cart with chilled radishes, peppers and different salsas you can put in little cups. I usually suck down several radishes and several cups of salsa while I wait for my carne asada, extra onions, extra cilantro....Shoot, I think if it has anything higher than a "B" rating then it isn't really that authentic.

I haven't been to this little restaurant for a while..it's on valley blvd,about on the same side 1/2 a mile to the 710 freeway,there is a liquor store at the corner,lots of people,great food,remember the name? anyone goes there?
