I remember Senator Don Perata carried a concealed weapon a few years back... don't think it is that unusual.

So much for that. The Speaker says the safety of people in the Capitol is paramount. Too bad that doesn't include the tax payers.

Good idea, assuming that the politicos are firearms savvy. While we are at it, concealed handguns should be allowed on school campuses. There is an active thread on this topic over on the Arizona forum. The better armed the trained, law abiding citizenry of a society is, the less crime there is, thus a well armed citizenry means a safer society.
