I think it's easy to dismiss San Jose as not as great as SF, but I know there has to be great things about SJ. From what I imagine, SJ seems quieter and more laid back than SF. Don't get me wrong, SF is virtually laid back capital of the world. But I just think SJ has less action than SF might have, thus a quieter atmosphere. To me it seems like SJ has a lot going for it. A great hockey team, nice weather, a minor league baseball team. But I really don't know much, and I would appreciate your input.

Thanks
I agree with you that San Francisco is a great city but I don't feel it is laid back. 40-45 years ago, it was, in my opinion, a great collection of people that lived and let live. That is now how the city is now.

Is that sort of similar to the "crime sprawl" that continues to spread southward from Oakland? I'm just wondering, because it seems to be a problem here in the Fremont area recently...and this information comes directly from the Fremont P.D. who've responded to the multiple car thefts we've had over the last few months at the car dealer I work at.

You really should quit the San Jose bashing in all your posts, considering you live in one of the most dangerous cities in CA. And don't bother telling us about Oakland's many great neighborhoods, because I do know that they exist, just like SJ also has many nice neighborhoods as well that you seem to not be aware of.

San Francisco is lacking a nice downtown, which San Jose has, and real industry titan like Silicon Valley.

Warmer, more predicable weather. And I like it's location better ~ close to the Santa Cruz-Monterey-Big Sur areas, closer to Yosemite, Central Valley.

Don't start..

because that's completely unfounded.

Unfounded in the eyes of whom? The poster I was responding to is notorious for criticizing San Jose every chance he gets, while ignoring his own city's problems.

A shorter name - the ink savings alone will make the move worthwhile.
