So, this years registration is over 300 bucks. That's almost 20 percent of the KBB proposed value. I know fees are up but seriously, this is complete utter BS.
I have an '06 Nissan 350Z. My registration was about $250. The numbers you've given don't add up.

I'm the one helping CA's budget mess with my LP560's registration. It will cost as much as some people's cars, despite being driven far less than the typical car.

I'll probably just sell it rather than be reamed like last year.

I paid $67.00 for my 1985 olds delta 88. Prior to the tax increase in 2009 my fees were $55.00. I pay $300.00 a yr for auto ins (min liability required by law). So $367.00 a yr to drive my car legally isnt too shabby. My next smog is due this nov & i should pass at a total out the door cost of $45.00. The car runs great after taking 5-10 mins to cold start it but it needs a a idler arm & front end alighnment & a few other things. The car was manufactured in ca on 11/1984.

Keep electing people that want to spend your money and we will always have high cost auto registration, taxation in the state. When will people learn that Democrat = liberal. What that means is liberal spending of our money, not maintaining a viable budget, needing to ask for more money all the time, and unwilling to make cuts. They will tell you that cuts were made but this is how Brown is cutting the budget: The state decides to hire 100 new people for positions that have gone unfilled. Instead they hire 10 people and say that a cut has been made. They will be saving money that they were never spending in the first place. Now that is what we call a "Liberal cut".

That's like your wife "saving" you money by getting two new pairs of shoes on sale when she already has 10 identical pairs sitting in her closet.

Get real. You have enough money to purchase and maintain a Lamborghini, but you dont have enough for the registration?
