so we should fill up juvenile hall with kids who were brought to this country by their parents? i'm neither pro nor anti illegal immigration, but I do know that this isn't the right answer.

These are not juveniles ...

We should also nab the parents and any other family members that are illegal.

Hold on a second Don. While on the issue of illegal immigration I'm more inclined to agree with you (that hurt), it is very fair to say that many of the children who were brought here were young. Some so young in fact, they scarcely or completely don't remember their home country.

They don't remember their home country??? Not if they live in any metro area in California.

Illegal is illegal. If I break the law I get punished. If I illegally entered Mexico to live off the tax payers than I would be arrested and thrown in a Mexican jail ... like most other countries. If a person is in the US illegally then they are breaking the law and they should be arrested and punished.

If you ignore their federal immigration status these kids look just like legal kids. They were raised here, they have parents here that are paying taxes and they are likely to stay here after they graduate.

The federal government doesn't want to seriously address the immigration issue, largely because the conservatives know that the people that vote them in are largely anti-immigrant but...the people that give them $$ want more open immigration policies.

Becoming legal in this country is rather difficult unless you have money or marry a legal resident. I've know people that have been here for years, with no serious connections to their home country, yet aren't able to become legal residents.

No, they are criminals and should be dealt with accordingly. The countries where these illegals come from would do the same for illegal entry.

How is it possible for you to give a somewhat lengthy response but completely miss the point of what I said?

Yes, if they are brought over hear as very young children, the only way they know about their home country is from their parents. That does not equate to them remembering it

I'm not concerned with what other countries would do with them, instead I care about what happens here. This nation has always been a nation of immigrants....today is no different.

The vast majority of people have ancestors that were illegal immigrants.

Regardless, since this was a supreme court decision, this isn't unique to California.
