Is it possible to find a rental or share near water in
California.
I am new to forums and the internet
Im new in the State and unsure
of mid price areas in which to look or stay away from.
I don't need high end accomodations, just safe for
a single female.
Thank you for your opinions

Thank you, I will try to google and map the area.
Tweakers I do not need, not stepping on anyones lifestyle, just not mine.
Seems a shame having to avoid an area, but do not need to be robbed or worse.

No. I have family living lakeside in Lakeland Village and visit them often. Lake Elsinore can be smelly and full of dead fish (oh boy, can it ever), and there is a tweaker element to certain neighborhoods, but the truth about the place is far from what the broad-brushers who never go there like to portray. I actually spend time there, and love the historic downtown core of the town.

Beware of the broad-brushers.

The California coast is something like 800 miles long and also has a bunch of lakes. Did you have a particular section of interest?
Are you looking to vacation or live?
Are you interested in water sports? If so, which ones?

Default living near water

I am interested in staying in the warmer areas of California.
Any lake would be worth looking into.
Trying to google info is daunting, too many ads

Purchase prices go up as they get closer to water.
Rent however is managable near the beach. Look into a apartment in Naples or Belmont beach off 2nd street.
