And for every new job created hundreds/thousands more are lost. Every bit counts but the big picture is still damning and ugly. I can pull up equal announcements in the thousands regarding layoffs in CA It's sad but is the reality.

Hmmm Googled one of the companies listed on the PDF (Medtronic) and found this, interesting. That sucks though

Haven't heard about this even though it's in the valley.

Yeah, they are a pretty good company centered on medical equipment. A friend of mine worked there and had nothing but good things to say...

From the article :
""They are going to save 30 to 40 percent on all cost factors versus Los Angeles," he said. "And (workers) can live very comfortably very near the facility.""

Pretty much ....

"Our state and local governments continue to raise taxes and fees and make it hard for companies to do business," he said. "I can't tell you how many times I hear from business folks who got a call from people in Texas.""

Such moves happen everyday.. Good for them for making an economic decision that will help both the company, America, and its employees..
Cuts their opex and allows them to hire more people.... Gives a more comfortable life to employees and more access to the American dream.
