There used to be a Thrifty or SavOn on El Toro Road off the 5. Scoops for a quarter! I always got rainbow sherbet or butter pecan.

I think it's a 99 cent store now.

Probably only the stores that used to be Thrifty would have the ice cream counter. I think all the Rite Aids in California sell Thrifty ice cream by the carton - a good price, too.

Extortion, greed, avarice! They used to be a nickel for a single!

Anyone else besides Fontucky of course, remember square ice cream cones?
I remember the single scoop for a nickel, two for a dime and three for 15 cents. Wow, this thread is a blast from the past!!

We do have square ice cream cones here in ID

I went to Rite Aid earlier this evening and bought 2 cartons of Thrifty ice cream! One carton was pistachio and the other was chocolate malt ball crunch (my favorite). I'm going to have some in a little while.
