Default Sonora Area

Hi,
I'm an 83 grad of Sonora High, and I haven't been to the area since 86. I'm looking for anybody who graduated in the mid 80's and haven't moved. Can anyone tell me the changes you have seen ( good or bad ) my family is coming from the San Diego area, and SICK of traffic everywhere. Can anybody tell me about property taxes, job outlook. We've seen the city data and the crime index is at 680... so is the little town I left have the crime or is it a misrepresentation of the area, and lastly services for a mentally challeged, ie: special olympics, or family network of special adults.
Thanks!

All I can tell you is that my sister and BIL are moving from Sonora because his work in primarily in the Bay Area and he's sick of driving. The traffic in Sonora from about 4-6pm is unbelieveable because so many people work in Sonora but live in nearby towns. Can't tell you much about the social services, the hospital seemed to be okay. The area is not a rural idyll. Among the nicer houses there are trailer parks full of heavy druggies, so pick your spot carefully.

Well, traffic is way worse now. They had to install a stoplight on 108 in Jamestown.
More meth crimes. Stolen firewood and tools is the same.
